When The Diary is Less Full – Written Wednesday 25th October 2000 (Aged 25)

When The Diary is Less Full

well the diary is less full
my name suddenly seems so dull
isn’t this cruel…
isn’t this hard…
nights out are now nights in
now i should have noticed
that it was only the body that left him
the mind and soul stayed
well the diary is less full
and i am left to grasp at straws
well you feel good
because i gave you a get out clause
whilst you breathe easily
i must stop and pause
you said a lot of things…
they sounded good in theory
but in reality they crumble
excuses are easily found
i feel sorry for you as you fumble
i will let you out
because you do not want me in
