One Day At a Time

one day at a time
i have got to use time
there is not much at the moment
i am not, ‘blowing’, mine
for the sake of a lousy time
just being careful
taking small steps
one day at a time
you do not know how i am doing
but you know where i am going
i am making way towards you
one day at a time
really, all i want to do
is make my way out of here
to you, to be near
it may take some time
so i will be careful
and everything will be fine
just being special, one day at a time
