Profit – Written November 2014 (Aged 39)

Profit

what kind of world
celebrates –
the far right divisive –
politics of others
one, where i guess –
it tells us there are empty coffers
yet the rich –
are richer than ever
sure it has all gone astray
there is a mark value
on every piece of compassion and care
marketisation and privatisation
have made –
the nhs very sick
and it is profit for profit’s sake
company’s get rich
people’s hope starts to dilate
