Contentment and Hope – Written Tuesday 16th March 2010 (Aged 35)

Contentment and Hope

there is a wave
that,
crashes against the shore
i built a sandcastle
and it crashes no more
so i leave the place
where i thought
i had a home
the cottage looks old
and the garden overgrown
and the wind that drives me
has already blown
and there are tulips,
like dreams never known
there are gardens,
and hands not yet shown
there is a wave
that almost overwhelms
and takes my mind
contentment and hope
it is all we need to find
