Back Home – Written Sunday 22nd November 2020 (Aged 45)

Back Home

i find myself,
working at home
and,
breathing a sigh of relief
not having egos –
getting under my feet
i feel safe
and away from,
second rate gladiators
out of the area
and with my own things
you know,
i listened to a sermon
for a corporate church
it told me that work politics
was just work relationships
but i am not so sure
all too often,
power plays and bullying
seem to underpin office floors
and now,
i can relax
after experiencing the assault –
upon my personal shell
me, painting the picture
the vista of a corporate hell
i find myself –
back at home
with some confidence and belief
and all those egos,
no longer getting under my feet
