Hang Down Your Paper Chains

we are jigsaw puzzles
in pieces
held in bags
we are the rumenation
of all that makes us sad
hang down
your paper chains
and paint your own stars
collapsible hope
tells a smutty joke
and one more stagehand
finds another trope
hang down
your paper chains
and serve up your fireworks
add a little fizz
because we are jigsaw pieces
roughly handled
held in bags
your dreams are so sky high
they leave you with jetlag
