Parents

beautiful
but you do not see
you have taken your yacht
too far out to sea
and you do not see
parents,
who never picked you up
turned you down
pushed your hope all around
entangled in their own failings
impaled,
upon their own inside failings
beautiful
a pretty face
and eyes that glow
if only sadness
would up and then go
if only i could stop being so selfish
i have much more to show
and you are so beautiful
