The Truth Begs You Not To Drown
your idle boasts are toast
just grilled by the world
stuck as they,
in the back of your throat
your canal boat of dreams
pulled along by a frayed tow rope
your idle gloats
never work
as a functional floating boat
it is a skill
to fill so much space
with words of no meaning
and such a lost looking face
i must have been dreaming
when i let you see my case
and when you fight,
with half cheed words
and badly digested insults
it is absurd
and still, still i feel for you
upon your back,
such a rack of hurt
and how that weighs you down
and makes you too afraid to really speak
you just carry it around
letting it weigh you down
the truth begs you not to drown
but, but you do not hear its sound
