No Love This Time

i should never have let it go
loving a love
that can never be mine
in love –
but no love this time
i can only watch
and wonder what could have been
i can travel –
but it will only be in my dreams
i should have never let it go
all those years ago
but had i held on –
what could have been offered?
now i sit here and i know it is gone
love a love –
that can never be mine
in love –
but it is just endless time
never a chance –
and it breaks me everytime
