Sweeter – Written Tuesday 16th November 1999 (Aged 24)

Sweeter

the sugar could be sweeter
it has been doping my reality
but now it tastes bitter
the sugar could be sweeter
my life is such a mess
it needs to be neater
it needs a little more respect
the sugar could be sweeter
perhaps i just need more
perhaps it only comes in small bags
someone tell me about before
before we all became sad
the sugar could be sweeter
it tastes just too bitter
i can still face life
but without the sweet sugar
it is a little hard to swallow
and with a doubtful future
it all feels just a little bit hollow
