Magic Remedy
people cannot be relied upon
to check their own bias
and,
i think,
that for people,
that is a happy place to be in
just step in –
to this inviting place
sit down in the wingback chair
and the warmth of the fireplace fire
is something to reassure and something to share
and,
i think,
this idea of critical thinking
this lack of some kind of self review
is an all round objection to objectivity
this bias if felt to be a magic remedy
what is there to do
people are happy with swill and no truths
or truths that have nothing to do with me or you
no objectively,
people are happy with their unchecked bias
to them it is a magic remedy
