Fantastic

your thoughts kept me awake –
all last night
there is no need
to worry about the pain
no need to wave goodbye
i will be seeing you again
you and me,
what a life we both could lead
never having to worry
getting what we want
you are super special
and i am so strange
i am really careful
your face made me think
how i would like to look inside you mind
and take an imaginary drink
we are alright, you know we are
seeing things made out of dreams
and the things people want
seeing these things all fall down
because what we want seems far away
and we can’t wait forever,
waiting for it to come around
no need to say things you do not mean
you are captain marvel in drag
and i am fantastic
with a supersonic mind
i am all alone without the things i love
and although i had some good things
very few seemed to be enough
i am an addict for dreams
and your super special touch
