Give Me Your Hand – Written Sunday 20th January 2002 (Aged 26)

Give Me Your Hand

everything goes around
second hand furniture
curtains from a friend
daydreaming about the future
give me your hand
those traditional tears
that only a loved one can understand
those traditional fears
that only a loved one can save

everything goes around
an old fashioned television set
a coffee table,
last seen in a cheap bet
some bits and bobs
from people you have barely met
give me your hand
some bed linen you would rather lose
that does not apply to you
you fixed my fuse
i know you understand
give me your hand
