Sorrow
i tried to drown my sorrows
but my sorrows could still be seen
they were all across my face
and they did not drown
they just floated to the surface
i tried to get further forwards
but there are too many desks
and too many people behind them
they are eager for a little power
turn them out, turn them in
let them go to the bottom
and then try to begin
i tried to drown my sorrows
but they always come back
especially when i go to sleep
they cannot be borrowed
not from my regular beat
