You Are Such a Blessing

i sat down and cried,
there you were
and you looked beautiful
so… amazing
surely i am not worth this
but, who can honestly say
they are truly with –
the person they love
if we were to count
i suspect the numbers
would be few and far between

i sat down and cried
there you were
and you looked so beautiful
so… amazing
i just wanted to stop time
and hold you forever
just capture the moment
and hold onto it
excluding all the pain in my life
for fear that the emotion i feel
will never quite be the same
you are such a blessing
