Peace Treaties With Your Past
peace treaties with your past
why carry on fighting
why let the turmoil overwhelm
it is not about being, ‘resigned’
but,
peace treaties need to be signed
i think you grieve
for her life and not just her death
death has just allowed –
a more open and expansive grief
but you grieve for her life
and the way she was never complete
you grieve for him
and the mental un-wellness
that like wet concrete, poured in
but,
he will never change
the mold, the dye, the loss
it has all been cast
i know it is hard, but please sign them
sign those peace treaties with your past
