Female Sunshine
women… ladies… females… girls…
the one place –
to give it a whirl
my ego is asked –
give us a twirl
so it stands up
and beams a smile across its face
why is it, female company –
and female arms, i run to embrace
what a situation,
i cannot claim –
that romance does all –
my interior decoration
or that my ego –
needs constant validation
and with that –
i must come clean
it is my ego checking in
using a worn out clocking on machine
women… ladies… females… girls…
they all trip me
as my ego unfurls
and i have to ask
why is it that female sunshine
in which i want to bask
is the sunshine that leaves me most blind
why is it female company –
i wish to find
it is about my ego –
and a sign which is hung around my neck
and it is a sing which says –
i can be a committed emotional wreck
