Figure Skating
figure skating on the tears of your past
those frozen tears,
the ones,
which form the bedrock of previous years
parachuting from a place –
into a place where you could not land
so, you had to fly around once more
only to come down with a notable bump
trying to locate the motion in a seized unoiled sump
because in youth it was about the corners
corners in which you could slump
now i am older,
and i am trying to touch the skies
the ones where i know can safely dream
and where the circling plane flies –
skywriting, making sure the message comes across
the one we need and want to read
but fear is always lost
