As If I Really Care
as if i really care
as if it really matters –
if you are there
when the dreams lie in tatters
you look old in your stare
just what is going on –
between us two
is what we have, already gone
and as if i really care
you are a drug
especially when you are not there
i have had enough
and i do not really care
you can be who you want to be
because at the end of the day
no matter what i say,
you are not that important to me
and that is how i feel today
it’s that way, it’s the way i am
and i wish things could seem fair
don’t you understand
as if i really care
