New Dawn – Written Sunday 28th January 1996 (Aged 20)

New Dawn

i hope tomorrow brings a new dawn
i want to believe and I want hope
i can’t want anymore
i want a new dawn
even though i cannot be sure
i hope tomorrow that i will wake up –
and know where i am going wrong
i still do not like the guilt
but life has always been –
the edge of a sword
and i need to get hold of the hilt
before i feel the pressure –
and i start to wilt
i hope tomorrow all my hopes take form
i hope tomorrow brings me a new dawn
