Welcome to the Better Me
now i am growing up
at last,
kicking in the teeth –
of my past
goodbye to the bad times
going forwards
on the right lines
when you hold me
you hold me good
i wish i could say something
i wish i could
life is often what you make it
and it is not always fair
as you know,
but do not live in despair
never understanding –
what all this is about
you have got to –
pull yourself out of there
and get out
that is the answer
and that is what it is all about
breaking the mould
getting a good i.d.
and into the warm from the cold
welcome to the better me
