I Live For That Change
it was a weird day
i got out,
to a world i could not see
and i heard what you say
and that means so much to me
because often,
i do not know what to do –
when it gets cold and lonely
but it is okay now, i have you
you can cry, if you need to
i am going to protect you
we are going to be together
maybe i can hold you
maybe i have not told you
how i feel life can be so cruel
but i am always near
i got out one day and realised,
things did not have to be the same
and although at the time,
i did not know you
and i had not heard your name
but now i am glad, i do
and i live for that change
