I Want You In My Arms

i want you in my arms
childhood insecurity
is waving at me again
it is my –
most begrudging friend
or maybe fiend
i want you in my arms
so that i understand you
and,
to know that you are there
and,
i know it is selfish
sill perhaps, even greedy
and i know,
even quite needy
but it makes sense
this feeling is sublime
it does lead me on
the higher i climb
i want you in my arms
