My Machine is Different
i cannot make my cog
turn like your cog
i have tried
but my machine is different
it computes –
in a different way
i have tried to tell it
that it must work like yours
but it is a different beast
and it opens different doors
capable of a different feat
i could make your cogs
i have tried oil
and i have tried grease
i have tried to refine the program
so it computes to a different beat
i try to reaffirm your need
to make you think as i do
or is that think,
in the ways you do
i guess my cogs
would have to be changed
but damn them,
they cannot be trained
