This is a Puzzle – Written September 2010 (Aged 35)

This is a Puzzle

falling in love together
would be amazing
but i am in a garden
with too much crazy paving
i am in a bank of deposits
and the strangest of savings
i want to give what you desire
but the commitment i wrote of
was put on the fire
and the ladder i put up
needs to go much higher

falling love together
would be just grand
but this is a puzzle
that i cannot understand
i have found a map
but it shows strange land
i wish i could give
and just let it happen
just make it work
but i have often scaled my feelings
and i know you would just get hurt
