This Life – Written Thursday 16th September 2010 (Aged 35)

This Life

this life has dragged me all over town
it has had its ups and it has had its downs
a million smiles,
but i have lost count of the frowns
it has sucked me bone dry,
it has made me laugh
but often. it has taught me to cry

this life has slapped me around the face
it has tried to achieve so many dreams
it has even took part in the human race
and it has built houses,
on what was often just open space

this life has taken me to the stars and back
it has romanced and loved me in mansions
but left me in a shack
it has come to me an begged to be let in
it has always been sad but true
and it has every moment that i knew
