Comfortable – Written October 2009 (Aged 34)

Comfortable

i found my slippers
and they fit well
i thought about feelings
and who they tell
i was watching television
and to sleep i fell
i could have ran outside
and found myself a friend
but i woke up this morning
and i wanted to be home again
so i avoided that chat
i found my slippers
and just sat back
not going to dissect every moment
or even the hours
if you want to find me
then you know where i am
the slippers are comfortable
and i understand
looking at me and the cat
just be the only way forwards
and let there be no looking back
