I Think of You

i think of you
and that is, how it is
because,
you do not appear
but still i write –
as if you are still here
still here…
i wonder,
what would make of us now

i talk about you
in these written lines
as if you are still here
but now, there are battlelines
you are not here
and we have a mountain to climb
and still i write
as if you were here
and still able to read this
of course you are nowhere near
sorely missed,
and reflected in our collective tears
