Caterpillar in Waiting

not yet a butterfly
a caterpillar in waiting
maybe,
maybe we could just change –
and grow
grow into something else
could you be the jar
for this secondary shelf
not yet a butterfly
a caterpillar in waiting
but then again
we can all blossom
life can be busy
when you are part of the
flotsam and jetsam
maybe,
maybe we could flower
life is a mosaic
and it is changing by the hour
not yet a butterfly
a caterpillar in waiting
