How Is It? – Written Monday 27th February 2006 (Aged 31)

How Is It?

how is it that others
can fly half way around the world –
for me –
on my big day
yet you –
with your so called compassion
can hold us to emotional ransom
because if i mattered –
and you really cared
that would over ride the differences we have
and you would be there
surface arguments are one thing
so others –
can criss-cross the world
yet you –
cannot manage just a few simple miles
