What Kind Of Man Could I Be
i was just thinking of you
as you thought of me
after all,
i had spent so long as a child
wondering,
what kind of man i could be
wondering,
if i would be a man at all
or would be like the scared child
all timid and small
and i was loving you,
as you were loving me
blurring the lines,
between sleep and being awake
between dreams and what is fake
i spent a long time as a child
as an enemy of myself
of society and my parents
and i was always wondering,
would i remain upon a shelf
and i was just thinking of you
as you thought about me
