Lost Things
please find my genius mentality
don’t be a void
or a person i am trying to avoid
don’t be a lull in the storm
or a child who’s hope –
at the age of six was still born
divorce is the reality
of the every day war torn
but i’m alive on any evening
that you think of me
even if i don’t realise it myself
and by the sea we wait
our town may get us down
but i know i cannot be late
if you’re going to be around
please use the passport i dropped
it will take us to somewhere else
i will dedicate my next thought
only to you
please find the bits i lost
remove the sheets from all my ghosts
please find the new
please look long and hard
and if i am lucky i will find you
