Infection – Written Wednesday 18th October 2006 (Aged 31)

Infection

you claim that i must have autism
yet,
you cannot explain,
why that prevents you from loving me
i do remember,
because that is what you said
that the autism,
that you self diagnosed me with
is the reason that nobody cares
so if i am autistic,
how does autism stop someone from being loved
a few years out of my life
and you demand so much
but it is just prejudice that fits like a glove
if i am autistic,
as you have repeatedly said
how is it that friends and family love me
how is it that i share my bed
if am autistic,
and for you it is simply something to blame
then that is a sad reflection of you
it’s that prejudice that so infects your realism
