As I Wait Today
as i wait today –
and as we both wait today –
here we are,
for what may come our way
us, always in the middle
not quite there,
like an ongoing riddle
about a life with no one there
as i believe in the day –
and as we both face the day
as i wait in the field for –
what may come my way
as i believe in the day
i try to get past the night
as i try to get out of this struggle
i am still stuck here in the fight
as if i have something to say
as i wait today –
and as we both wait today
