Give Us Peace

give us peace
something for my reincarnated head
that’s where i fall asleep
that’s where i twist and turn
give us peace
that’s where i learn
just give us a day or two
give us peace
and then give us you
give us you in your immediate form
because i was almost quiet when i was born
i don’t remember ever really being formed
give us peace
it’s all we really need
honestly, all we need is that peace
and it’s that peace that we need to believe
it’s what keeps us on our feet
and it’s that which means we never want to leave
