The Boy Who Played In Their Own Tears – Written Tuesday 24th January 2023 (Aged 47)

The Boy Who Played In Their Own Tears

fortune has been kind
but that was not always my view
when i was younger
and had much more to do
i look at him,
they never excelled at school
getting caught from all sides
trying to learn trigonometry
and now they have excelled
on social media misogyny
what happened to them,
where did that path come from
minimum wage,
goes for a song
my life has been a steal
and who knows where it came from
fortunate me,
the boy who played in their own tears
who attempted brutalist structures
from the combination of their years
fortunate me,
comedy gold never gets old
but a funny line is not so easily sold
and when it comes to childlike stories
mine have already been told
and there has always been those lines
but, fortune has been kind
