Sat With Paper And Pen
sat with paper and pen
i’ve got a prison personality
i’ve got no sense of direction
but i construct my living
from half seen perfection
sat with paper and pen
i’m lost without my ex-girlfriend
she’s just passed her exams
and she’s on the mend
i miss her hands,
and my bed to lend
sat with paper and pen
would you phone me up
would you talk to me
i can only guess at who you are
i’ve travelled to many places
the best ones went so far
the most felt were always near
sat with paper and pen
trying to get it all clear
i am here once again
you can always write
my address has not changed
neither has my name
and i am still playing the game
be there, once again
sat with paper and pen
