Recognition
we would all like some recognition
we would all like to know why
i know some people –
have a terminal condition
and that contentment –
can easily be replaced by crying
we would all like some investigation –
into the allegations surrounding trust
but sometimes you can only look back
to see some of your memories starting to rust
we would all like to make an impression
on lives where there is no satisfaction
that is why we would all like some recognition
