Life Is Plasticine
life is plasticine
or maybe,
life is play-dough
it’s what you make of it
and what you know
life and real life
because you know,
the two are not the same
so give me a religion
where there is not someone to blame
life is the stickle-brick
i bought in a jumble sale
somewhere in 1981
i put them together
then they became undone
life is the promises
no money back, no insurance
no warranty, no guarantee
we are hackneyed artists
clinging as we are, to the branches of a tree
