Romance Isn’t Dead
romance is not dead
it’s just bought a new suit
and it’s combing the hair upon its head
of course,
the shoes may need a little polish
and in the early stages,
it may lack passion
but don’t tell romance that it’s old fashioned
or that it’s dead
because i found it in your company
and later on, when we went to bed
romance knows the moves
it’s dancing like a star, just watch its shoes
romance can take you the full distance
even in some old rusty van
but don’t tell me that romance is old fashioned
don’t tell me that it’s no better than your old man
romance isn’t dead,
i find it in every ounce of your being
it’s not dead, romance is not dead with you
