Closer To The Truth
if you attempted to understand –
their alcohol abuse
you would get closer to the truth
it would not be a pretty truth
dressed in best hat and frock
but it would start to unearth –
the mental illness that has plagued him
of course,
you may not want that kind of truth
the truth of his depression,
and all that childhood repression
