Stepfather Bull
dad left…
stepfather bull
silent and quiet was how the mouth was kept
confidence leapt…
a child punched…
a past so drunk –
it could not even remember its own name
just soiled itself
and became poisoned by its own pain
child not loved
and not treated like a princess
confidence bolted
not favourite
but second best
and who saved them?
who came along and put the pieces back together?
