Castors
she pushed the trolley with broken castors
and,
she never knew
that my rough edges
had been roughed up by myself
they all play this game like a dutiful task
actually, i do know the rules
and i chose to make that forward pass
do not under estimate
–
the people who spend a generation on doorsteps
or hanging off walls
i can laugh along and she never knew
in fact they never knew
