Claw and Hoof
eye for an eye
tooth for a tooth
fight racism with racism
claw and hoof
death is valued –
by profession or state
we value our country
yet we have let things slide
we yell and we scream –
at those in our midst
seeming to smash our dreams
yet upon ourselves we have bought this
and although –
no one individual is to blame
collectively,
we have done little –
to stop immoral runaway trains
so you sit there –
and scream and howl in pain
James Garratt – May 2013
