Pale Moon – Written August 2005 (Aged 30)

Pale Moon

pale moon dipped behind scenery
and joined up images
of deft talent and raw moon
a landslip of ship-shod intervention
provided a third rail connection
pale moon followed me home
depilated and badly used
i made my way across cobble lanes
somehow confused
with a pale moon looking over me
from the strangest of hues
captivated by an illicit illusion
it winked at me with a stolen eye
pale moon came up for air
as i snuck away and went over there
a peacock nestling on my shoulder
the dream much greyer and older
a symphony of delusion on the next stanza
pale moon makes like a fiesta extravaganza
