Connection

the saddest thing of all
is that they,
they are the only people –
to which –
they have ever connected
in real life –
they fear being rejected
these electronic friends
leave you protected
you don’t have to reach out
and actually hold
most of all –
you can exert control
you mould your image
so you change what you fear inside
so when will you come alive
the saddest thing of all
is inside you have diamonds
you’re just so scared to walk tall
