Ship Feels Hard to Steer
just ignore me,
at the moment the ship feels hard to steer
i always feel like i am breathing in
or that i will be exposed
that somehow,
everyone does know
i am only held together by fragile pins
too often the glass of my aspirations
is in pieces and in my bin
i have spent my life with a furrowed brow
trying to plough out the creases
i always feel like the warm up event,
just behind the main feature
and the main feature is just a play –
one in which my life is slowly told
and i know everyone sees the braille –
that is etched across my soul
and they know that every event –
that took place in that place
so, just let me stew
i mean nothing by it, let me enjoy loving you
