Disarmed
you look amazing when disarmed
i look… well, harmed…
not quite there
the worst kind of mathematics
a root cause that cannot be squared
summarised by an awkward stare
but, we are a pair
and we hang here, on this particular branch
out to lunch but in to us
never doubt the construction of our boat
and never doubt the touch
you look beautiful when you’re disarmed
especially when the porter has taken your luggage
and turned off your alarms
when the weight of disappointment
is passed back to the past
when your father stops his damaging cast
you look beautiful with eyes that talk to me
they glisten with vibrancy
one which adds gems and sparkles
to this damaged and sunken society

Disarmed – Written Monday 1st August 2016 (Aged 41)

Such beautiful imagery. This one feels so calm, yet vibrant – a great composition!

You know I like my imagery :). I had to pull this one together a bit. But happy with it. Hope you’re okay x

It works really well. Yes, I am okay… just don’t have much to say poetry-wise at the moment & the work days are long & somewhat hectic. Hope, you are okay as well! 🙂

Good – I am okay – been a bit unwell with various bits and bobs but fine 🙂 It’s like with writing – I don’t write every day – I just let it happen 🙂

Yes, same here. I don’t write every day either… sometimes I don’t write for quite lengthy periods of time. The past couple of months, it felt like a flood… sometimes I wrote a couple each day and released them into the world slowly… one at a time. Right now, my head is quiet… which is not bad at all. 🙂 I’m sure I’ll be back at it soon since there is a lot inside of me that still needs to be put into words.
Have a good night & feel better soon!

That’s how I feel. Once I’ve got everything typed up, then I will just add new writing. I never fight it, I just wait to the mood and moment is right 🙂
