Feel For You

i feel for you
you appear so scared and so frightened
and somehow,
so abused
i know the answer is treasure for you
but for me,
it’s more like a noose
and i know –
i have only pushed you further away from reason
i feel for you
the answer means so much
that you make pieces fit
even when none of them actually do
the, my life and my past
has always been a peculiar kind of jigsaw
but sadly the pieces do not fit
so scared and so frightened
you are unable to face the world
the damage done to you
is a crime that is almost beyond compare
if i were the judge –
i would have them all up there
facing charges of wilful neglect
of taking away someone’s confidence
of destroying someone’s self respect
of making you believe –
that you will always have to take second best
i feel for you
