I Need Time – Written Friday 24th February 2006 (Aged 30)

I Need Time

i have watched as bridges are burnt
and i am convinced –
that they have not learnt
i have seen them –
burn bridges for no good reason
i could not count
how many bridges they have burnt
i know it is too many
and i know that i need time
yet, time is the one thing i do not get
i need understanding
and i am asking for plenty
but with all these bridges gone
i just feel so empty
too much damage has been done
and not enough has been learnt
your complete lack of understanding
just really hurts
